The brief
The contract included the design, manufacture, and installation of a single-bay gatehouse at Aldi’s distribution site in Neston.
The challenges
Thurston had to work within strict timelines whilst ensuring quality and durability.
The solution
Thurston worked closely with the client to deliver the gatehouse, which comprised a control room, lobby, plant room, disabled WC, driver WC, beverage area, and a cleaner store.
The manufacturing process involved the use of non-combustible, zinc-rich, self-healing galvanised steel for the roof, walls, and floors, providing a high-quality finish built to last.
